Quickstart
Deposit TSLAx and collect your first premium. You need a Solana wallet, TSLAx, and a little SOL for fees.
Before you start#
- A Solana wallet in your browser that supports Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack.
- TSLAx in that wallet. Shear uses the Token-2022 mint

Deposit and collect#

Connect
Open the app and choose Connect wallet. The app lists the wallets your browser has. Connecting shares your address only; every transaction appears in your wallet before you sign it.

Deposit
Enter an amount on the Deposit tab. Between rounds you receive shares in the same transaction. During a round the deposit is queued and joins after the round settles. The card says which applies, and what it will create, before you sign.

Wait for an auction
Premium is credited when an auction is finalized, usually a few minutes after Monday’s open. Queued deposits start earning from the auction after they join.

Collect
Your position shows unclaimed premium in USDC. Collect sends all of it to your USDC account and creates that account if you don’t have one.

Withdraw
On the Withdraw tab, between rounds, shares turn back into TSLAx at once. During a round the withdrawal is queued, your shares keep earning that round’s premium, and the TSLAx arrives when the request is processed after settlement.
What you sign#

The SOL is rent held by each new account. Shear doesn’t close these accounts, so it isn’t returned. The app shows the exact amount before you sign.
If a transaction fails#
The app simulates every transaction before your wallet sees it, so most problems show up before you sign. Two are common:
- Instruction unavailable in current round phase. The round moved on while you were deciding, for example the auction closed. The app refreshes within a few seconds and shows what is possible now.
- Minimum share output was not met. The vault’s value per share changed before your deposit landed. Try again with the new quote.
